Introducing Light Riders!

My First Book – For kids to read and families in need.

This book is about every day kids growing up in a an age where power, material wealth, and “good looks,” are outranking love, friendships, and self respect. Aspen, Noah, Jahan, Roman, and Kenya are hurled into phenomenal adventures with friends and fiends in the world of the unseen. They also connect with the Lord of the Light who is forging the bonds of love, patience, unearthly treasures, and supernatural allies to guide them.

I wrote Light Riders for 5 Reasons:

1. To get kids into and excited about the Bible so they can learn about God’s Love, God’s Character, and how they can face light and darkness His way.

2. To publish a fun, suspenseful, and spiritually thrilling book within the genre of Children’s Spiritual Adventure Series (for kids no younger than age 10 and up). Light Riders pierces through the popular culture in children’s literature by putting the Bible at close range to give each book its core value. In this sense, Light Riders is A RISK TAKER! There are few players in this arena. The world is full of “change makers” impacting our kids. I wanted to throw them a power line to support their values relating to compassion, humility, strength, leadership, and faith.

3. To produce a product that generates funds for important work like Hope Worldwide. A portion of each book’s proceeds are assigned to Hope Worldwide. Learn more about their effectiveness at:

4. Many years ago, when a great minister named, John Louis, from Singapore, gave our church a charge to “Make God Known.” I took it to heart, especially for kids.

5. Selfishly, to give my grandchildren and all children a gift that helps power their desire to be generous, discernible Christians. Something that helps them put their faith in God, not idols, and points them to Heaven rather than something earthbound.

If you are considering buying, reading, gifting, or supporting Light Riders, please share this blog or the Link below on your sites/pages with any encouraging comment.

Although it is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Biblio and many other online bookstores (in the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Canada), please buy it on XULON Press (see link) because they deduct the least amount of costs from it.

Thank you so much for joining me in changing the future for our kids (and the way we invest).

Happiest 2012!

About Light Stream

Casandra Moreno Lombera is an author, blogger, and Emmy nominated television producer who grew up in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver communities. In junior high school, she promised her single mother that she would get straight A’s in order to graduate early and help her relocate to Aurora, Colorado. She did… and though women and Latinas were scarcely visible in television, she dreamed of a future in broadcast journalism. From an early age, Casandra wanted children and loved to write. She began her career in television (writing and reporting on camera) at the age of 18. She also began raising two very successful children as a single mom. Throughout her career, she became an award winning, television producer/program creator (receiving both the Imagen and Golden Eagle Awards); was executive producer of both public affairs and children’s programming at KWHY-TV, Channel 22; and worked on camera hosting public affairs talk shows for many years. More distinctive opportunities came her way, however her desire to write children’s books and to blaze new trails in the publishing world became irrepressible. Her dreams today focus on empowering youth, writing (particularly about God’s love for them), and raising money for the impoverished through organizations like Hope Worldwide Throughout her life, she has been passionate about hands-on giving to the community and has received many forms of appreciation (including a congressional commendation) for her efforts. She has served on several boards including Communications Bridge Institute, training disadvantaged youth in television production; St. Anne’s, building futures for at risk teens and unwed mothers; HOPE, Hispanas Organized for Political Equality; the American Diabetes Association fund raising committee; and the Consumer Advisory Committee for the California Contractors State Licensing Board. Casandra is also a recipient of La Opinion’s 2012 Mujeres Destacadas (Exceptional Women) Award. She is completely smitten with her husband, two children, and four grand babies who inspired Light Riders. Follow her @casandratweets and @Lightersbook on Twitter. Her blog is at Direct Contact:
